i have a place in La Paz and need a vehicle for when i am there. a car or truck. what do you suggest... i buy local....i buy in mexicali and drive it down... i buy in my home country and drive it down insured?

I am on my way down right now . If you buy a car with papers all you need to do is get the plates and pay for the lic . I did this and it was very easy . I pay every year just like in the US.

I always buy in the States and drive down.

It seems cars are a little cheaper there and somewhat better maintained.
