Has anyone got the dates for this year's Dorado Tournament out of Chivato. Typically, it is in June and benefits local charities, about 50.00/person, usually run by the homeowners at Chivato.
I was just there last week. From what I was told, the tourny has been cancelled. Political problems...Damn I hate politics!!! By the way, I had perfect weather while I was there. 85 and get this, no wind!!! All week! The water was cold. 57-62 was the read. Fishing was slow. A few good size yellowtail were caught. My neighbo brought in a 26 pounder!! Type to ya later!!
Do you have any idea of the status of the PC Homeowners Assoc., their newsletter, etc. Their website is gone and obsorbed into cyberspace (chivato.net). "George" emailed me sometime back and thought they were going to continue publishing it at a different website but I have not heard a word.
I try and stay away from the politcal stories there, especially since I'm only there for a week or two at a time. I guess you could say I bury my head in the sand & shells. I try and leave that stuff at home. Sorry!! As for the water temp, Yup, It was cold. I've read and heard stories of warmer water too down south. I'm heading back down again in June.
