Which one is "better" (services, utilities, lusher, etc.) I am seriously considering a change of location and will be making more trips, but anyone's opinions would be very helpful.

I agree with alan, Loreto is a great little town

definately Loreto...they have a nice ALL INCLUSIVE resort there...nice town!

San Felipe has the major advantage of proximity to US. A 2 hour drive, vs. a 2 day drive to Loretto. This may or may not be important to you.

I've lived in Loreto going on 2 yrs. Loreto is a great place , lots of activities, fish , golf , etc. Try to stay at club Palmar 1 or club palmar 2, very nice grounds , Palmar 1 is in the middle of town and is within walking distances of about anything. becky at La Giganta realty handles the rental, you can look at her web site La Giganta realty. We went down to Loreto last Feb and loved it. Not too big, not too small. Lots of character but still wild in terms of whales, dolphins, etc..
