I'm having trouble contacting CanyonMan Rob for a reservation. Does anyone know of an alternative way to book a spot? We want to go in less than a month. Help!

Hey amigo:
I just moved to San Diego county from Portland and am going to Guadalupe canyon via Tecate soon in my subaru outback.
How were the roads, and how was your trip.
Thanks Smile

hey bajadan. How did your subaru outback handle the roud to guadalupe? I'm thinking of taking my subaru forester on the same trip.

We went to Guadalupe in October using both roads to the canyon. The road off of the highway leads down a washboard road for an hour of rough riding followed by a rocky road with some tough places. 4 wheel is suggested but I saw a mini van while I was there and it made it but I would not take a mini van. There is also a road accross the lake bed near the marked road and it is smooth but very dusty.

I would be very cautious about traveling the lake bed after all this rain.

I have pulled a tent trailer (lifted) with a stock Tahoe into Guadelupe, no problem. Anything with fairly high clearance and a savvy driver should be fine. I didn't use 4x3 at all.
