I found this site, curiously enough, when I was looking for virgin of Guadalupe tattoo hits in google.

An up-to-date web displayof unidentified corpses in the state of Baja California. Fresh ones. Old, decomposed ones. By year, and by city. Ones still in the morgue and ones already buried in mass graves. The city of Ensenada has a category, but no corpses. All the corpses are from the border cities, Tijuana and Mexicali. So I guess once you get through Tijuana or Mexicali on your way south you can relax.

Follow the "SEMEFO" link. Like every other Mexican government department, it has an acronym. In this case "SEcretario MÉdico FOrense", the coroners'office.

I like the gentle warning: "On account of the grafic nature of the information shown in the following pages, it may be make an impression
on some people; discretion is recommended.

"actualmente en las instalaciones de semefo"= still in the morgue.
"inhumados en fosa común"= already buried in a common grave

Tijuana's current morgue men are a particulary "impressive" lot.

Seems like a good use of the web, actually. But I suppose we're just to squeamish up here. Maybe one could say something about the Mexican
cultural affinity with death. Or maybe not.
