Without even thinking that there might be a problem, we just purchased a 2007 Chevy Diesel pickup which we had intended to take to Baja. Now we are hearing hints that the ultra low sulphur diesel which we supposedly need, may not be available in Baja. Does anyone know whether or not it is available???? If not available, what would happen if we used just the regular diesel? When might the low sulphur diesel become available?

One other Baja forum people are saying it's not available, but on still another the owner of a Pemex station has posted the facts and even a photo of the Bajo Azufre Diesel sign. I am going with the Pemex station owner... the same one who posts the monthly price changes on various Baja forums.

Did you ever find out which stations throughout the Baja carry this fuel? We are heading that way middle of January and we also have a 2007 Chevy. Any help on this matter would be great!

yes...just went through Mulege...LSD at Pemex south of town
