Has anyone traveled the road to the Pacific coast from just north of Catavina out to the Punta Canoas/Arroyo San Jose area lately? Last traveled it 5 years ago and road was not suitable to take camper over.
This year, would like to take my camper out to the coast. Auto Club map still shows it as "dirt road or poor road" while a map I picked up in Ensenada dated 2004 shows it as "graded road".
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, CS....

If I am thinking of the same road, it is FANTASTIC! I was wandering around that area in January and I took that road from just before Catavina all the way to the coast. It was smooth sailing the whole way. Shoot if you have any sort of truck with some balls under that camper it will be a piece of cake. I was in my 1978 Ford Pinto Station Wagon. You know the ones with the fake wood trim on the outside. Yah, that little car has taken me lots of places. Sleak yellow paint job. Of course had to do some mods for the baja. Cut the roof off that puppy so she'd cruise like a convertible. 6" lift with 33's and she'll ride you like a tiajuana hooker. Well, if you need to know the best places to stop and pee, or how to pull cactus spines out of your behind...give me a call. The number is 996-5875. Take care....a Worthy Traveler.

Hey, thanks for the shout. Now if I can just get someone to verify the condition of the road that hasn't been sniffing to much of the funny stuff coming out of the back end of a Pinto tailpipe, I'll be happy. I know, you shouldn't doubt the word of a man and his dog.........
