thinking in buying a small vacation home in Bajamar, south of Rosarito, does anybody have any info. about the place? any suggestions about any other community to own?
I would suggest you check out the homes at the Baja Country Club in Ensenada. After looking for about 5 years in the Rosarito/Ensenada corridor, we purchased at the BCC and could not be happier.
If you would like more specific and detailed info, please contact me.
Before you visit, make certain your U.S. accountant and attorney dial you in on the tax implications and that you get a honest, knowledgeable Mexican attorney. Every piece of property has to be individually researched and the price and terms negociated. The more prepared and savvy you are about owning Mexican real estate, the better your chances of finding the right property to buy. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions (I'm not a real estate agent) - shrinktheplanet@gmail.com
went this weekend to visit Bajamar, gorgeous place, but concern about huge future gas tanks at a mile from the place, know that these type of accidents are not common, but really sad that nobody could do much about avoiding something so close to a retired/vacation area
thanks David K, yes, did read them, being visiting Baja for the last 15 years, own property in San Antonio de las Minas (next to Ensenada wine country), have mexican lawyer and USA accountant, just wondering about a nice community next to the beach, and the one we liked is Bajamar...but...any way thank you again for warning to people to do research
There's another BIG new developer going into Baja Mar; actually, they are already there, but the publicity will start big time in the next month or so. I've been told that the first units marketed will be going for considerably less than they could be sold for now, and a lot less than the next ones will go for. You might want to check out all the developers at Baja Mar. From what I've heard, there are no title difficulties there.
