I put down a $5000 refundable deposit to hold a condo in Rosarito. I decided not to buy the condo, but the developer has not returned my money. Its been almost a year now. What can I do? He hasn't refused to return it, but each time he promises to return it the money is never sent.

I would bring your dog, young kids, games, toys, ice chest and a radio and plant yourself in his office until he refunds your money.

This unfortunatly is a common accurance. It highlights the need to use a American escrow service when you put any money down on property in Mexico.

I would start contacting San Diego Tribune, Orange County Register, La times, SignonSanDiego and the Wall Street Journal attn: June Fletcher.
This is typical of why no one should by anything associated with Hugo Torres, Gustavo Torres or
Gabriel Robles. Also contact the BBB in San Diego.
