I am looking for suggestions for a campground or site from San Felipe, south to Puerecitos or even as far south as Gonzaga Bay if I have to. Even though I will be going during the over-crowded Easter week from April 2-10 I am looking for a place to pitch a tent with my 3 kids and do some exploring and kayaking. Also what is the faster or best route from Ensenada to Gonzaga Bay now days? Driving south on Hwy 1 265 miles then take the turn-off to Gonzaga or through San Felipe, and Puertecitos. My wife the dogsd and I stayed at Playa la Costilla 6 miles South of Puertecitos during the same time last year. We loved it. Private and nice. Great Palapas and nice showers/bathrooms. Price was good at $5 a night. There was another camp ground within walking distance up the beach that had food and a bar. Good food actually. There were more to camp at and the area wasn't as nice as where we stayed. If you'd like pics just email me at timfarwell@adelphia.net and I'd be happy to send them.
We are going to Punta Chivato this year I think. Trying to info on that now.

Tim, what do you need to know about Punta Chivato? I have a future retirement hide out there. I'm heading down April 10 for a week. Was just there last month too. Can't get enough!
