I recently heard that some surfers were robbed at gunpoint on the north road from San Ignacio to San Juanico. They had everything stolen and had to walk into San Juanico. Has anyone heard about this? or know where I might look to find out more. I have travelled this road many times but now I'm a little worried. -Johny

about this event, but my husband and i were robbed several years ago s of ensenada. found out this is being done by mules from the mainland that have either had to dump the product or sold it and are living the pirate life??some become glue heads...its not the baja it used to be and and we have all had a hand in that..best advice keep the camp clean dont show all your toys in the open and desinate a person who stays aware when the party starts. seems the guys that rob us were the same one that had the big shoot out at the bank around there. so be careful and if you hear any more specifics about the surfers let me know.be careful.
