I stayed at the Villa Bahia recently. It is really nice. Rooms are really pretty - it's on the beach - we flew in and they picked us up at the airport.

This Villa Bahia hotel. Does it have a pool and where is it in relationship to the airport...if it'a the one I heard about, it's right on the beach and just east of the airport...not in the town itself. Is this correct?

How does one make a reservation at the Bahia Los Angeles There is no contact listed on the web page
Judi,What type of accomidations are you interested in.Bay of La is not very big the town that is.Maybe 1/2 mile stretch of small business and hotels the Villa Vita is popular, but i love Raqual&Larrys a cool little motel right on the beach at Punta LA Gringa.
Ruben Daggett at his camp has cabins for rent (his place is just before Raquel's, on the Road to La Gringa) clean and spacious with bathrooms and off the paved road. He guide fishing trips and the restaurant is not bad. His e-mail is rubendaggett@hotmail.com He will answer his mail almost daily and the place is popular, recommend reservations. Gaucho3
Just got back from Villa Bahia and it is a kick. Jean and Roger are great folks. On the beach. No pool except the bay (biggest pool you could want). Price is reasonable. Great for a group. Highly recommended. Los Vientos is nice. "Luxury" is a strech. $130+US/night is steep for BOLA. Overpriced drinks and food for BOLA. Pool and swim up bar are neat. Only 10 rooms, 12 more on the way. The nicest looking property in the bay. Both properties are just south of the airstrip on the beach, 3 km north of town. VERY rough and washboarded road for the last 2 km. Word has it that it will be paved soon.

Just returned from our trip into Bahia (July 15-18) We left TJ @ 0900 and arrived into LOS VIENTOS Spa & Resort @ 1900. Two vehicles Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and Dodge Caravan. The trip in will require min. speeds (Caravan) or high speeds (Ram 1500)to plane the major washboard road. This is a resort still in progress. Ths AC units are too small for the rooms (max/min temp. of 62*) Prices are good for what you get in the accomodations. $75-135, one or two bedroom w/toilet and shower, also satelite tv. Very clean! There is no refrigeration available, bring big cooler for plenty of ice. Heated pool w/swimup bar at your doorstep. This was a really big hit with the young ones! Cantina/Bar/Restaurant is available but can get pricey in large group. 2 families for us consisted of 3 adults 1 child and 2 adults 4 child 1 infant. 10 ppl eating can add up really quick. Recommend bringing your own if you can. One big community palapa provides plenty of shade for all to enjoy the beautiful Cortez scenery. BBQ pits available. The generator does like to fail on occasion through the night, AC goes off until you turn it back on! From what we heard there are more rooms on the way and the AC units will be replaced. This will cater to the ones willing to pay the price. You will receive excellent service and attention from Salvador and his staff at thias resort, that I belive will become a big hit. Traveleing with small children and first timers into Baja, this was a good choice for us. Next time will be a full campout under the stars. Tha weather was extremely well being this time of year. It was 95*-108* with plenty of wind to bring it down some. Happy camping and Buen Viaje!
Checked it our about four weeks ago (govenor had rented out the entire hotel) - made a resevation and will be staying there over Labor Day weekend. It's on the beach - has an amazing pool (with poolside bar) - jacuzzi - and clean spacious rooms. Nicest hotel to stay in town hands down.
Go to the website www.villabahia.comfor pictures and prices of all the casitas. The contact page has the email address for reservations. Great place and tons of fun.
