It takes too long to drive there from Canada, and I don't have to, as my kayak is foldable. Did this before in St. Rosalia and Mulege, - buses from Tijuana work well. The problem is - there is no bus to BOLA. Only to the intersection (El Crucero) on the highway Mex1, 8 miles before the town of Punta Prieta. Few questions to people that know these places:

1) Buses from Tijuana arrive there between 8 pm and 6 am. Seems like at 6 am is better - more chances to get some ride to BOLA. I hope there will be some cars during a daytime - are my expectations realistic?

2) What this intersection looks like? I suspect there is nothing there but desert. My map shows some structures - could be a house or small restaurant. But maps are not always correct.

3) I don't need much - just some fresh water (not necessarily a purified), and beach without surf, to assemble and launch a kayak. Some palapa would be nice, but not really necessary. I will be going South, towards St. Rosa, and beaches around Sea Turtle Station or in the center of BOLA seem to be OK. May be will have a look at those turtles - before they disappear.

Any comments, advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
