Planning to travel to BDLA for Memorial holiday. How is the stretch from Hgh.1 to BDLA? Has it been completely paved yet? How about fishing, should I take big cooler along?

The road is NEW but Not finished yet (BUT MOST OF IT) .Fishing is good.and yes bring a cooler...there are a few hotels in town and a new one on the beach.
