There are four or five of us headed for the Bay of LA. We are flying to San Dieago on 7/22 and departing from the same airport on 7/30. We need to rent a van and hopefully fishing equipment that we will need to fish for the week. We are from the midwest and do not have the proper stuff. We fished BOLA about four years ago and stayed at a hotel with a small restaurant and fished with local guides. We would like to do the same. Does anyone have any ideas for us?
This is a site were you might rent a van (or they say so) that you can take into Baja. Visit us online: www.cabaja.com
Phone: (619) 470-7368 Fax: (619) 479-2004 E-Mail: info@cabaja.com rent fish gear?? at BoLA Camp Gecko south of town I think may have gear you can use if you hire the boat same north of town or since you've been there look up who you went with before. That all the help I can give.
My friends and I rented this beach house from Raquel Fife for $600 for 5 nights. It's 3 bedroom and has AC and shower. The house is also close to her hotel/restaurant/lounge. Lodging at her hotel is fairly cheap as well and they do have running fans. SHe's really nice and also let us use her fishing, snorkeling, and kayaks for free. As for fishing, ask for Ricardo when you get there. He's a good and nice fishing guide. It cost $120 for a full day fishing on the panga from 5-2PM. He also fillet and cleans your fish. Raquel will help you set up your fishing trips with him. Her San Diego number is (619) 422-3454 and her e mail is bahiatours@yahoo.com. WHen you call you probably will be talking to her son, Larry. He will help you set things up with her and make all the arrangements ahead of time. Good luck and bring lots of water. Tell her Lee referred you....maybe she can give me a discount when I go on Labor Day
I'll see you there Lee. I'm also going on Labor Day weekend. Not staying at Raquel & Larry's though. I'll be camping a little further south near Guillermos.
