I am getting conflicting information about the BOLA airport. Some say it is Military only, and others say it is open to general avaiation. We are planning a trip there later this month and would like to know if we can land in BOLA?

BOLA strip is civilian, dirt/sand at or near the place called 'Gecko' (I think) no facilities for planes (except camping or sparce rooms, house rent, dive/fish trips) there (close to strip). Town is 3 or 4 miles (?km) from town, if headed to town you would need to find your own way or ride. Doc Abrames(sp) looks in on this board often may be of help (he owns Gecko).
