We have a 28-year-old travel trailer south of Mulege that was placed on site about 10 years ago. We'd like to get rid of it,
but a long-time ex-pat suggested that it was illegal to sell it in Mexico - particularly to a Mexican. Does anyone know if
that is correct? If so, are we allowed to give it to a Mexican family without either of us getting in trouble with the law?

Hello baja pata,
I posted an inquiry looking for a small property near Muleje. I will need a temporary trailer. What are the particulars on your unit, including Followig is my posting which explains my needs: "Hello califarch, My wife is a Mexican citizen, but we currently live in the US. We are interested in purchasing or long term leasing an inexpensive, piece of raw land (one acre or two)located on a passable road in the greater Muleje area within approximately 1 to 3 miles inland from highway 1. No view or amenities. A water well would be nice but not necessary. Do you represent any property(ies)that match our needs, or can you tell me how much an acre I should expect to pay $US? Thanking you in advance. fahsd2 P.S. as you are a long time resident of the area perhaps you or one of your neihbors could help me with what is for sale or may be available. Looking forward to hearing from you. fahsd2 |

We are not long-time residents, recently purchased palapa (built about 10 years ago) that contains older travel trailer. As
we live in the northern half of the US, we don't particularly like being in a travel trailer when we could be just enjoying
the breeze within the palapa, so we want to get it out of there. We were down to Mulege for a week in late July, there are
some for sale signs along Mex 1 between Mulege and the beaches of Bahia Concepcion. They seem to be the same ones we saw last
fall when we were there. Others are much more knowledgeable about Mulege real estate, so will not even go there. We want to
get the trailer out during October, it sounds like you may not have a need for it for awhile if you have yet to find property,
so ours is probably not what you're looking for. Good luck with your search.

Hi Baja Pata,
I appreciate your getting back to me. You may be right - I can't even get a reply from the Mexican real estate people. Anyway, good luck with your trailer. fahsd2 |

Baja Pata,
If the trailer is still available I have the perfect family in need. They are a family of four living in a leaky camper in Punta Abreojos. I have a friend who will come get it. Please let me know because this would be way easier than getting one from the states. You can sell it to me and I will lease it to them for 1 dollar per year forever. Thanks, Craig |
