Hello, If you are interested in owning economical property for a home in Loreto or La Paz, see my website. One thing to consider when buying property anywhere in the world is "How close is the property to the airport?" If you have to watch your money like I do, then the cost to visit your vacation home is a consideration. I would like to know how people get to there property in Todos Santos when they are so far from an airport(?). I know that a taxi would be very expensive and a bus trip, well, how do you get to the bus station from the airport? A taxi? I know that a taxi from the La Paz airport to the bus station in the town of La Paz just 3 miles away is $27 USD. That must be very inconvenient just to get to your Todo Santos property...then there is the trip back to La Paz to make the plane flight. I have six contiguous lots for sale in the town of Loreto, just two miles from the Loreto airport . Prices start at $17,000 for a lot of 2,580 sq ft. My lots are in a residential neighborhood and have paved streets and concrete sidewalks, underground water and sewer, above ground electricity and telephone service. Land on the beach in Loreto is $46 USD per sq ft or $500 per sq meter, land in town and 1 mile from the beach in a residential area described above is $6.00 per sq ft. By the way, how long does it take to drive 1 mile to the beach and Marina? about 5 minutes. The website myself contains Maps and videos of Loreto and current information on real estate. New studio home on your own lot for a total of $53,000 USD plus land purchase closing costs. A new 900 sq ft ft home in Loreto on your own lot is $82,000 USD. If you can afford it, buy on the beach. I wished I could. But if you are of normal means, you can own a vacation or retirement home in the beautiful and safe town of Historic Loreto, no monthly Association fee and just $50 per year for property taxes. Last year at this time my family paid $60,000 plus closing costs for a 900 sq house (only seven years old) on a 9,300 sq lot enclosed by a stucco walled fence in La Paz just 1/4 mile from the beach, 5 miles from downtown La Paz (downtown starts at the beach near the beautiful new marina), a and just two miles from the airport (in Dec 2008, a new Walmart and Sam's club opened up just two miles from the house). I am offering the same opportunity in Loreto and La Paz. I am an accountant by trade and I know how to get a home for a very reasonable cost.
