Are there whale watching trips from Mulege or do you have to go to Loreto ? We will be there mid feb. thanks

Neither... the whales (California Gray) primarily use three Pacific lagoons for breeding/ birthing: Scammon's (Ojo de Liebre), San Ignacio and Bahia Magdalena.

A few do come up the gulf...

We always see lots of whales just offshore on the East Cape (Los Zacatitos). Last February it was absolutely amazing! There are a few whale watching guides that are based in San Jose del Cabo as well as Cabo San Lucas.
