For a number of years now I've been romancing the idea of owning a small hotel in Baja Sur. I've made some significant strides in my due diligence toward this aim. I can't believe I'm the only Baja adventurer who has had this thought. If there are any others like myself, let's make this dream happen. Sincerely,senortomas2@yahoo.com Baja Tom
You should ask Engelbert Humperdinck about the hotel business in Mexico.
quote:
Engelbert Humperdinck Reveals - "I Never Said Release Me!" referring to the illegal takeover of his LaPaz Mexico hotel and retreat Legendary singer, Dr. Engelbert Humperdinck, (that is no typo error either)….. proudly earned a Doctor of Music degree and highly publicized respect in January, 2006 from University of Leicester in his hometown in England. Celebrating his 40th year in the entertainment field this year, unfortunately also has him in a "non party" mood at the moment denying "Please Release Me"…only not in song but in court. In September, 2004, his Hotel La Posada de Engelbert in LaPaz was overtaken by someone claiming ownership to the property, which is said to be worth in the millions of dollars.
Hola Fulano, There are no sure things in life. It's not likely that I'll be speaking with Mr. Humperdinck in the near future. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. Sincerely, Baja Tom
You speak Spanish. Great! This LLC is seeking a limited number of investors.I see you've been to the ad and the web page. You have my email address. I suggest you email me and I'll send you a prospect letter. If you have more questions I'll be happy to answer them. Salud!
No, Baja Tom, Fulano does not speak Spanish. What he meant to say was "no te hagas el guaje" or "no seas pendejo". He likes to pretend he knows more about Mexico than he does and he shows up in as many Baja forums as will have him, always trying to rain on other people's parades. You do not want him as an investor.

No Jorge, I said exactly what I meant. Your translation is not accurate. "No seas pendejo" means "don't be stupid". However, I said "no hace pendejo", which means "don't ACT stupid." Please don't pretend you understand more Spanish than you do.
When a person shows up here and says that he is considering starting a hotel in Baja, when in reality he already owns a hotel in Baja and is looking to either sell it or get investors, he is 'acting' stupid in order to obtain some kind of advantage.
