When i went through last month i talked to Ralph at Rancho Sta Inez, he said they'd had less than an inch all year... dry as a popcorn fart. Dunno what this week's storm did up there, but being a desert and all, i wouldn't take my kayak down to the wash below the hotel..... happy trails, bb
Yip the ground look scorched for sure...but looks like parts of the valley got at least an inch...thanks for the reply...wish i could have stayed longer for the bloom...catch it on the way back...know robert well...lives out back and he's mr. information about that place....stay in touch...heading to las barracas tm
Wouldn'tcha know it... just a few days after my post, we had some good rains down here! I'm told the storms went all the way up the coast, so lo and behold, just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished. Let's hope for some bloom after all, makes paradise all that more enjoyable.
