I've been an adventurer all my single life. I've lived in Calgary, Vancouver, New Brunswick, Toronto, Miami and San Francisco. I loved them all for different reasons. I especially loved San Francisco and will always have a place in my heart for that city.
Now that my husband and I are retired, we will go on this adventure together but not without a support mechanism: his first family, kids and grandkids, live in San Diego. Our original destination was Merida, then Mazatlan, and now we have been "convinced" that Baja is the place for us. And with the family so close its a good choice. The weather is also the best in Baja I would say.
We'll keep in touch.

Hey Reinventwen, January's almost here, are you still making the big move? I would really like to hear from you.. I still plan on moving in the middle of may, can't wait. I hope you found a nice rental and please keep me informed, I will need to find something for around 600-700 a month. Waiting to hear from you and have a merry Christmas.

Hi Bajadreamin'
Yes, we're knee deep in our checklist for the trip. We'll be leaving end of January. Believe it or not, we have not decided whether to risk driving our 2000 Saturn SW or sell it and fly. That means no car in Baja for a while. Are we crazy?
BTW, Merry Christmas and joy in 2011! Are you still going to Baja at christmas to look at rentals? We will look when we get there. We have been watching for vacancies online and following up with emails but no agreements yet.
Good luck to you.

We've decided on the Ensenada area instead of Rosarito.
