I'm not so sure you really understand all the legal issues. The first problem I can see is that in order to get an FM-3, you have to demonstrate that you have specified minimum monthly income to live on. It's around $1,500 per month, depending upon whether you rent or own property and your dependents. So, when you say, "I just need a small income and/or a free living arrangment to make it possible", you disqualify yourself. The second issue is that it is extremely difficult to get an FM-3 with a right to work, if the work you do takes away a job from a Mexican. Construction is considered work for a Mexican. | |||
