Ana's Cafe at Santispac Beach south of Mulege is hosting a family fun time Pinto bass derby this coming Saturday, April 5th. Pintos are gold-spotted bass...small fish to 20 inches or so.

Only 50 pesos entry. Will include a fish dinner, beer, music, and dance after the derby.

(This derby used to be held at Ray's Cafe before it burned.)

You can sign up at Ana's Cafe before April 5th. All entry fees will awarded back for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. This is an fun time event and not a serious fishing tournament.

EDIT NOTE: Bouyweather predicts high winds for April 5th. Derby postponed until calm seas return. Will announce new date.
