Hi, how long a journey is it from San Diego airport to San Felipe, assuming the border goes smoothly, tourist cards etc? thanks for any info...

There are three possibilities:

I-8 and Ca 98 to Calexico then south to San Felipe on Mex. 5 (4.5 hrs., or more if on Fri. PM )

Ca 94 to Tecate, then Mex. 2-D and Libremente Mexicali to Mex. 5 and south (5 hrs. plus $10 in tolls)

I-5 to Tijuana, then Mex. 1-D to Ensenada, then Mex. 3 to San Felipe (actually 31 miles north of San Felipe on Mex. 5). (5 hrs. plus $8 in tolls)

There are actually even more routes, like using Otay to the Blvd. 2000 (BC 201) to Popotla then south on 1 and 1-D... or Otay east to Tecate and Mexicali, then south to San Felipe...

Choices, choices...

The first one I gave is the best and cheapest...
