Hello,

My wife and I are going to be traveling Baja in early Feburary to do some surfing, fishing etc. We will be traveling in a 87' Toyota van with 2 wheel drive. I'm bringing along tire chains, spares, shovel, etc. How are the roads the Feb. and March, think will have problems, What should we be aware of????

thats in advance, mk

Feb. & March are great months for travel in Baja. Have 10 + gals of extra gas and keep your tank at least 1/2 full at all times. Not quite sure what off-roading (that's off Highway Mexico 1) you'll be doing and how far south you are going.

If this is your first trip, suggest you donot camp out alongside the roadway or alone at anytime. Best to stay in RV parks, motels or well occupied areas.

Although your Toyota is very serviceable in Baja, make sure its in good repair, and you carrying spare parts.

Happy trails
