I am flying into sjd in sept.and will be renting a car and heading to La Paz for 2 nights and then over to Cabo for 7. Just wanted to see if anyone has driven this route and what I should expect. Also, the best way to go. Any help would be appreciated.
hola~ no worries, the drive is cake. really. first itme we drove to LaPaz from Cabo was in 1993. the roads have gotten better since then. we have driven the Peninsula multiple times. what are your concerns? don't drive at nite. go get a map form TripleA. they have the best Baja map. the roads are well marked. you either take the route from SJD to La Paz or LaPaz via the Pacifc side thru Todos Santos to Cabo. really easy. Gracias for the help! I guess just make the left out of the airport instead of my usual right going to cabo, right? The first time i went to cabo, i mistakenly took the left and ended up at a toll booth...had to turn around. Is that the road? Sorry to be a pain in the butt!lol I have driven fron cabo to todos santos before, so i am familiar with that part of my trip which will be la paz to cabo. I will pick a map up at 3A.
