Hi...My wife and I are making up our seasonal shopping list for Baja and wondered if USA beef restrictions have been permanently lifted at Guerro Negro checkpoint? There was no problem last spring, but anything could have happened since then. I would sorely miss a lot of barbeques. Has anybody had any experience there lately? That stop is the worst. I think depending on the mood they'll try to take anything they need. Not to mention the pest spray that may or may not have chemicals. I usually say "No car wash today". We all laugh while I fork up the 10 pesos. Or I'll just go around, a 20 mim. trip and you can stop an buy some fresh shell fish in season.
The immagration people there are or have been to me very good! Some new speed traps and the one at Catavina is obsurd. Not even a Fed. Cop. and they aren't very nice so slow down BEFORE the speed bumps. 30mph! Have a safe trip. Russ
