Headed south in November and wondering about the East Cape Road and also the road between Cabo and La Paz or even as far north as Loretto Just wonder what to expect
I left San Jose del Cabo Sept 10 and the road to the east cape from San Jose was messed up and very difficult to pass since huricane Ignacio. Good luck
I have not been on the East Cape highway since July, but friends tell me that the coast road is drivable from San Jose del Cabo at least to our house, which is in Playa Tortuga near Shipwrecks Beach. That is about 15 miles north of San Jose. They say that the road dept is out with machinery working on the bad spots each day. The back road from La Playa to Zacatitos, which normally is the fastest way to do the trip is reportedly impassable in some sections due to wash outs. I do not know about the rest of the way north to Vinorama, Las Frailes and Cabo Pulmo. I think I heard that the best way to get to those places may be from La Ribera up in the north end.
