A TV station in Spokane sent a crew down to cover the damage to Mulege caused by Jimena and the airlifting of supplies. The it's a week-long story which started last night and will air every night next week at 5:00 PST. If you go to http://www.kxly.com/Global/story.asp?S=11145582 you can access the print version; click on the title of the story under "Also See" on the right side and you can access the actual broadcast from last night.
I assume you will be able to see the story next week by accessing the same link, but no guarantees. For those of us who haven't seen the damage in person, it looks like it should give us a flavor for what conditions are like down there.
Good article, and the guy is doing good work. I talked to some folks who drove a truckload of supplies down, and they had some not so good things to say about some bush pilots. Seems as if at least a couple of them stood around getting their pics taken while food was being distributed that had come in by truck. Things are still bad, I think it may be a long hard recovery. Many of the back roads are gone, and the Mexican army is air lifting supplies to the Ranchos.....People I have talked to who had homes in Mulege are not going to rebuild...Sad.

I'm sorry you feel that way about the Baja Bush Pilots. Initially the pilots were only in charge of flying the goods down and not distributing. The distribution was the responsibility of the Cruz Roja and others. Just recently the responsibilities have changed and now the pilots do help out with some of the distribution. I am very grateful for the Baja Bush Pilots as they are the only ones that offered their assistance to me and my family when we were unable to cross a truckload of donations by land. They have done an outstanding job in keeping their Web site updated with information on the relief efforts. They have also coordinated a drop off location in Sacramento for us. Special thanks to all the pilots that have donated their time, fuel and air craft to help fly donations down. God Bless them all!
I have no feelings of ill will toward the Baja Bush pilots, lord knows we drank enough Margs together over th e years to appreciate each other. they do good work, and have helped me out in the past. Just a couple of guys maybe created a bad impression? Thanks to everyone who has helped my Mexican friends...I am going down in March, for a couple of months. Thanks all for any help...
