Donald Lawrence Jack

Nov 30, 1931 – March 11, 2009

Don Jack passed away peacefully on March 11th in Baja, California Sur. Don is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan; his six children and their spouses, Sue and Bruce Detweiler, Paul and Lynda Jack, Dave and Diane Jack, Sandy and John Walsh, Marie and Damon Stokes, and Lorri and Andy Williams, his 16 grandchildren, and many close friends and relatives. Don is a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the Korean War. He moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1957, where he had many different jobs, including dealing Black Jack, running the pack station at Glen Alpine, and finally as a General Contractor, where he built many homes in and around Lake Tahoe. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending much of his time with Joan in Tahoe, Montana, and Baja. It was in the outdoors that he was happiest. Services to be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Saturday, April 4th, at 11:00 am. Reception following at the River House. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Legion, Post 795.
