What is Mulege like now, after the hurricane? Is the town pretty much devestated...or are things back to some level of what they were? Is town destroyed? Are there shortages? What kind of help is still needed?

Is it a good or not so good idea to come to Mulege this week as my goal would be to kayak and snorkel?

Thanks for any info.

mulege is fine and business is pretty much as usual. was there for two weeks at the end of oct. have a place on el burro beach. the road next to the river was badly damaged and was closed. the stores all have many supplies and the pelican reef is now open for breakfast! the people seem to have most of what they need but their isn't a women in the world who wouldn't want new clothes. we are going back down at the end of dec. and I plan to go to the dollar store and buy some supplies for the clnic such as band aids, alcohol first aid cream etc. they can always use that. have a good trip
