Does anyone have any info on how to get a Fideicomiso transferred? I have been working with the bank in Cabo since beginning of August and cannot seem to get this done. I called the bank in TJ who said I was working with the right people. I've tried calling the Bancomer number in Cabo but no one answers. My email goes unanswered and the cell phone number is hit or miss. Does anyone know the phone number for the Bancomer in Cabo?
Thanks in advance.
Petty

You are not the only one. Banamex and Bancomer seams to well not really give a S. Both home office are in TJ. There main offices are in Mexico city. You may have to go to TJ and confront them. You could always canc. the trust and go with another bank.(A threat). There are a couple new banks handling Fedos and are eager for your business. Check with this person. She is handling a number of new fedos and has had the same problem especially with Bancomer.

Mendina, Julieta
Julieta Mendina (julietabaja@hotmail.com)
works for Pelican Reef realty Mulege.

She speaks English and is easy to work with.

Good luck,

Dave

My fideicomiso is with Banamex, and the TJ office quit handling the account a number of years ago. All fees and communications go through the main office in Mexico City. Has anyone had difficulty selling, or otherwise transfering a FC property through Banamex..???

OK, I found the right people. I called Bancomer in TJ. All Fideicomiso's are handled out of Cabo San Lucas.
011 52 624 144 6218. Ask for Marco Ruiz Cardenas or Raul Leon.

When the phone is answered, its in English! Mortgages, press one. Fideicomisos, press 2!

I have an actual appt to get it signed and transferred at the bank. The buyers will also be there.

I am cautiously optomistic that this will happen.

I'll post the week of November 7 and let you know if it really happened.

Petty i guess you were lucky to sell when you did. Too bad for Ron and Sandy they are a little bit fed up with the whole thing.

Who would have known? Before 2003 there had never been a flood for 200 years (according to folks I talked to). I feel really badly for everyone there. We can only hope that the weather patterns will not keep up this unusual path! btw...do I know you?

I may be wrong but i still believe that a big part of the problems were the ill conceived and poorly constructed dams up in the mountains. The storm didn`t help but the dams that burstreally compounded the problems. And yes we have met, and no i didn`t realize you would recieve this in an email, and certainly would never have imagined you would have taken it any other way that what was stated. You sold and didn`t get flooded, Ron bought and did.
