I am considering RVing to Mulege in December/January but my traveling partner is VERY concerned about the safety after all the bad press in the pasy few years. Please let me know your feelings about this. We have traveled to Mexico many times but not in the past few years. We understand the usual safety precautions (not driving at night etc.). Are there other newer precautions?

Cross the Border at Tecate, not Tijuana. Get South ...Dont camp on Isolated beaches anymore.Stay in settled areas at nite,,,The good old days are gone..
