Is the humidity unbearable in Mulege and Santa Rosalia? How bad is the property damage, each year, from huricanes in this area?

hello, the weather in both towns is good till around now. from our experience, july and august are very very hot and humid. air conditioning is recommended at night to get a good sleep, as day time is bearable for activities.hurricanes come and go, and normally end up as tropical storms. although mulege was devistated cpl yrs ago

Hot...not too hot...
Huricanes come thru in September but it's the rain in the moutains that cause the flooding on the river front... Beaches are OK for flooding..

I forgot to add information about hurricanes. The earliest a hurricane hit Baja was August 15th and the latest was on October 17th. If you figure the last week in August to the first week in October, you won't be too far off. September is the peak month.

In general, it's the rain from the hurricanes that do the damage here in Mulege. By the time a hurricane comes across the peninsula, it is pretty well shot as far as damaging winds go but the Mulege valley is a big basin that catches a lot of rain and there is only one small outlet... right along the Mulege river. Read "Flash Flood"

Hope this helps.
