I have following the situation in Mulege since it happened. I lived in La Fortuna for many years. What is the condition of it? Did Jim Maclemore get out all right? Trying to decide if I should come down, or would just be in the way. My sincere condolences to all.

Cuck- The most critical shortage right now, other than water pressure (or water on south side of river) is supervision. Everybody who got inundated has mud to clean up as a minimum, but where there's owner's stuff also, the owner needs to be contacted and his/her stuff dealt with. Park managers are busy dealing with park roads, services and basic safety stuff, and will be for a few to several weeks. There is labor to organize and a critical shortage of organizers. If you can fill that need, head on down.
Anybody who goes needs to consider- ¿where will I stay and how will I feed and water myself? Stores are open and products are being stocked, but restaurants are on very short staff due to time of year. Hotel rooms might be tough as those in town may be full w/evacuees and Serenidad has limited services and is still cleaning out those rooms that got wet. Expect that to change or at least start to in 2 weeks. Tourists generally start to trickle in during October. Mely, e.g., is remodelling and will be off line for 2 more weeks (I was muy triste yesterday at breakfast time).
