HI JD,

MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO MULEGE LAST OCTOBER. WE ARE GOING THERE AGAIN NEXT WEEK. WE CAMPED AT LOS NARANJOS BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME REALLY NEAT LITTLE HOUSES YOU CAN RENT. THEY HAVE A BATHROOM, FURNITURE AND A SMALL PROPANE STOVE TO COOK WITH BUT NO SINK. THEY ARE RIGHT ON THE BEACH, VERY QUIET AND WE FELT SAFE. SEE THEIR WEBSITE. AS FAR AS SANTISPAC THERE ARE NOT ENCLOSED PLACES TO CAMP. WE SPENT THE DAY THERE AND MET A LOCAL THAT TOOK US OUT ON HIS PONGA TO THE ISLANDS WHERE WE DOVE FOR SCALLOPS AND CLAMS. WE HAD A AWESOME TIME! I DID MEET A MAN WHO WAS CAMPED ON THE BEACH, SPOKE SPANISH, NOT SURE IF HE WAS A LOCAL. LOOKED LIKE HE WAS THERE FOR AWHILE, VERY NICE. NOT SURE WHERE REQUESON IS. I HEARD ARMENTA IS NOT SAFE, NOT SURE WHERE THAT IS. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Hi

I passed by Mulege a few weeks ago and is basically the same as always. Sincerely I dont think security is such a big issue once you are away from the border area. The news tend to exagerate the situation. Just use comun sense.
