You have rights here in Mexico. You have the right for civil process, you have the right seek civil judgments, and you have the right seize both real and personal property after receiving those judgments both here in Mexico and the U.S. no matter if that person is an American or Mexican. They want you to kiss your money good bye and go back home. Band together and fight. It does not matter $5.00 or 150,000 dollars.

Just a thought.

Unless you have an FM3, FM2, or are an Inmigrado, you have little or no rights in Mexico.

I have lived here for the past 24 years plus. Experiencing the good and the bad. One thing I have learned is to educate your self totally on the laws of the country that you want to live in. I do practice what I preach. I have personally served process on both Americans and Mexicans. But I will not go into that but here is some thing you should do. Read the 7 paragraphs in your FM-3/2. Follow those instructions and you will not have a problem. Next read the following item. Enough said.

1917 Constitution of Mexico
(As Amended)

Chapter III
Foreigners
Article 33. Foreigners are those who do not possess the qualifications set forth in Article 30. They are entitled to the guarantees granted by Chapter I, Title I, of the present Constitution; but the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action.
Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.

An additional up date.

The president (Mexico) just signed into law that no Govt. official can not order you out of Mexico. You have the right to file for a hearing before a judge and stay till that court makes that decision. Do you see what I have been saying? Spend the time and learn.

I just love local controversy...especially when
it involves one who knows and one who thinks he
knows. Listen to Richard.
