There are several places to launch a boat on the bay, depending on the size of your rig. Playa Naranjo has a jettied ramp available, and most of their for-rent cottages ($14 and up per night, better weekly and monthly rates available) have mooring bouys that you can set up a pulley system so you don't have to worry about tides and rocks. There is probably a fee for using the ramp if you aren't one of their tenants.
Most of the other beaches with rentable palapas usually have one section that is launchable with 4x4 and at high tides, best to ask around at each location, and way down at Buenaventura the restaurant has a stone/cement ramp, also for a fee, but no moorings or protection from wind and waves, and also at high tides.

The main ramp is in Mulege, behind the Hotel Serenidad on the south shore of the estrero. Between there and Naranjo there is one other gringo community with private ramps and such, but i don't know anything about the availability of that particular one. Naranjo will probably be your best bet, check in at the office for fees and such. Also, farther north (30 km) is San Lucas, and there's a ramp at the trailer park there... that's where the access is best for Isla San Carlos fishing, that and Chivato.

Whoa baby, you're right!!!!....it's hotter than I expected. I spent 3 days at Don Johnson's RV park, Serenidad, and barely slept at all. Being stuck inside that walled in compound with no breez sucked...lol...but good food, great people and a nice pool. My first night out on the beach was last nite and it was much better. I actually got some sleep. Come on down when you get here. You can't miss me. 2 blue canopys and a ton of stuff...BTW, do you have a home down here or do you drive an RV down and camp out in that????...and what about any gringo owned businesses in Mulege?? Do you know of any, besides the dive shop??? I'd like to get to know a few ex-pat's.

Well, It's Mexico and its August so Duh! Its hot.Claudia and Miguel, who own the "dive shop" are both Mexucan citizens. If you want to meet "ex pats" go to Jungle Jims in the evening, but I think you wont find too many right now, because it's Mexico and it's August, and it's hot.

Check out the "Oasis Rio Baja" resident park on the west side of "Jungle Jim's" for Dustin Brown - he might also be out at Naranjos (turn out at Playa Arena - about 1/2 miles before Santispac - and head east to the Bay).

If he's there, Dustin can usually bring you up to speed on whats going on.

Blue Heaven Park,
I drove past today and saw you had a couple of empty trailers for rent??...what would you rent on out for monthly to a poor southern boy and would you be willing to do some sweat equity trading for the rent???.....I'm not real happy about the beach situation around here, at all.....I got my brand new Honda 2000i generator, a high dollar canvas canopy and a half dozen other things ripped off last nite at Playa Coyote, which puts me in a huge bind.......so I'm losing faith in my fellow man, but quick. Any help would be appreciated. David

hey david, thought you were in chivato? remember you have to do things differently there. lots of very poor folks,
and you need to keep the work thing low key. your asking to do work that the mexicans citizens can do. can land you geting your visa revoked and sent home. be careful my friend!

Hey Tomtom....I hope you're not calling me a liar, because if you are, I'd be more than happy to fax you a copy of the police report AND send you a few photos of the stuff I had stolen....and why are you being so judgemental and calling people names anyway??....no one asked for your opinion.
