My name is Marla and Ken's mother is my neighbor in Ensenada. Ken and Chris are fine but have evidently lost EVERYTHING, the campground and even thier cars. It is quite a mess there and the word his step dad gave us is that no vehicles are allowed to go South to help them yet. If you want to send me your email address, I can give you her email address and you can talk to her directly.

I received this email from someone about them yesterday
********************************************** I talked to them this morning, they said to tell you not to worry that they are ok, shaken up but alive, their whole place is wiped out, they said they do not know where to begin, everyone needs food, means to cook it, water, clothing, moral support and many hugs, snow or flat ended shovels are need to dig out the mud, camping equipment, stoves, gas, propane, tables, chairs, everything is lost, everyone needs water badly, they only have 10 gals, and that is all I have, the pool looks like the river, fill of mud so it is useless, not sure when power will be restored since the power truck got flooded also,I am not sure if the roads are passable, I have trying to find that out, but no luck, I heard the arroyos took a beating, there was so much water coming out of the mountains, it change the whole river, I don't want to scare you but it's pretty grim right now, folks are chipping in and food was brought to them last night as others, everyone has food in the freezer but no power, some have no way to cook it, Christine said she is making a huge batch of ribs tonight on the bbq, and i will take down some chili i made, we are pulling together, but it's so hard emotionally right now,i will keep you posted, i will on and off line, but i need to plug in the fridge right now, ********************************************* |
