I don't have any word on your tier of lots. I have a nightly download by phone from Rafael Cuesta; he's bizier'n heck but does a few lookie-lou's each day to help get word out. Send me an inventory of what was on your lot, and it will probably take 48 hours to get real info. It helps to know what to look for (trailer, boat on trailer, jeep, metal shed(s), block shed, block house... whatever your improvements consist of) to give a full accounting. Email to Mike at Fleming dot cc and I'll see what I can find out. DeRemer on lot 100 had an inspection that indicated 10 feet of water on his lot with two block structures pushed off foundation slightly; you are 10 lots downstream but fronting the river instead of next block back so water in your front yard was probably slightly lower (I'm #29 across from Leon's office and had about 7-8 feet), but along the riverfront water would have been moving faster w/more scour power. It'll take a positive look for anything real. Send your email and lets see.

I received an email saying info on Oasis is on
"Oasis Rio Baja" website, which I believe taps into this website? Overall 10ft of water, posted
Sept. 5th. Lots of mud! If you can't get the info, email me: patllewell@aol.com I'll send to you.

FYI-if you have a place in the Oasis & want it opened up to dry & ruined stuff removed, Leon will not allow access w/out some trackable permission from you (one of the fabulous things about Leon, for which we all thank him profusely). Get word to him thru somebody in town as to your wishes; a printable email would be best and make it exhaustive about instructions cuz Leon won't go farther than you tell him. Don't bother w/Leon's email tho, as the office was up to the tops of windows so the computers are dead and his phone is still out at this time.

Glenn- Leon probably won't get that message. If you know somebody in town that could deliver the message to him, especially in a printed email, that would work. As a possible alternative I just sent an email to Minita Internet, the white internet joint across from Las Casitas more or less, asking if they would print & deliver messages to Leon. If I hear back I'll post the results. They'll charge a coupla busks for that of course.

As to insurance, I heard from John Linderman today that an adjuster from Mexico City had contacted somebody in the park (I forget who) as to when they would be there so he could meet them for the estimate.

The little internet store is located on this page (midway down):
http://www.mulege.net/services.htm
Their eMail is posted.

Leon's eMail address is located on this page:
http://oasisriobaja.com/contactus.htm

Leon has a "WebMail" address and he should be able to access it on any computer with working internet connection.

Seems easy enough to have someone contact Leon and ask him to check his eMail at the internet store, or any where else (I'm sure he can tack on the charges to the monthly lease/utility bill).

Hi Mike thanks for all the info you are providing. Wondering if you can pass the word when Rafa gets a chance to look at lot508 in the Oasis and report back as to the condition of firejimmie's place. He had a trailer with a new structure over it, a golf cart, boat and a cement shed. He would really appreciate it. you can e-mail him directly at firejimmie@yahoo.com or answer thru the forum. May God Bless. We will be back to Mulege as it will be paradise again.

Glenn- Tonight Rafa reports that your boat and truck are still there. The ATV he believes is still in the neighborhood, maybe up against Hank's place; if he has time tomorrow he will coordinate w/Leon to move it back to your lot and take a closer look to give a fuller report. You have some broken windows; maybe a broken sliding glass door.

Bombero Jim- Rafa reports your trailer still in place; he thinks the wall behind you (to lot 514?) fell down. Also if he has time, he will take a closer look for a fuller report.

Rafa has not seen Jimmie & Annie Christopher yet. He says their back wall, across from the maintenance lot and that obscures the Bronco when parked there, is gone. I asked if it fell down, and he said "I don't remember seeing it; I think it is gone." He is starting on cleanup at Tussy's place tomorrow. Folks are getting tired. I guess they've been going full blast since the rain, non-stop.

Hi Steve and Jeanne,
Tim few down to Loreto first chance. He just falled me from Mulege. The Oasis is beyond imaginably destroyed. Water and mud up over 8 feet in our house. Our boat is in a tree 15 feet in the air. The kitchen cupboards were hurled around the house, the fridge on it's side in a foot of mud. He said he'll look at your property and see what's visible, (who knows what's under the deep mud). Sorrow upon sorrows. The town itself has power and the road from Loreto is open so provisions are coming in. Travel safe.

MANY photos/videos of Mulege on
http://www.bahaiasdebaja.com/huracan/john.asp
also now an OFFICIAL INFO site for BCS, Municipal, and Mulege Town

also Donation info,
Small traffic from San Ignacio to Sta Rosalia. Passable to Mulege. South to Loreto OK including Buses.

NOTE: it is very important to arrange for the disposition of your property or possessions. Leaving your home unattended and unrepaird will create a disease and pest problem for the town. MKAE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SOMEONE TO HANDLE IT FOR YOU

Hey Kathryn & Tim,
Sorry to hear of your loss. Our place across from the Jungle looks like its also pretty trashed. Vince(Javier), Lori, Donna and our good buddy Gary are on their way down in a 4WD caravan to see if we can salvage our outside walls.

I'm stuck here in San Jose until my
Doctor clears me. Hopefully once they get there and assess damage and special needs down there, I will load up my Lance and bring down 500# or so of especially needed stuff for us locals and the town. They're bringing essentials, medcines and other things.

Any additional pictures of our place? Ours is the white one with the large carport , Blue Bronco & trailer underneath.

The Miranda's opened it up to air out so hoping for the best to salvage the walls. Nadia, Oswaldo, Bart, Lupi and the rest have really been great. Nadia's been keeping us informed almost daily by phone. Seems that they can call out from phones but cannot get incoming calls.

Heard that Johanna would not leave and spent a harrowing night on top of her place.

Take care and God bless.

There is a dark green Volkswagen 4 door, might be a Golf, with the rear tires stuck in the oil change pit at Oasis. If anybody knows who owns that car please post. So far it is unaccounted for.
