I live in San Diego, CA and am in need of some intact giant or Humboldt squid for a science demonstration connected with the Exploratorium in San Francisco. The whole squid is going to be disected to demonstrate certain aspects of their anatomy for the students. This project takes place the first week of June, 2010, at the Exploratorium.

Can anyone help out? How could I arrange getting about 6 or so giant squid?

Is Santa Rosalia in Baja the only reliable place to find giant squid right now, for this purpose?

If so, any suggestions for a place to call or email in Santa Rosalia, or elsewhere?

There are more Giant Squid in Northen California, Fort Bragg, Eureka than you can haul away. Get a copy of Western Outdoor news, and contact one of the squid charters...I'll bet you get all you want...
