Hi, we've recently inherited an RV in a campsite in Mulege. What can I expect? I'm willing to give it a good go..not knowing much about trailer parks in general. I'm 41 and married with teenagers....Any suggestions or thoughts? We're very social people, but also very comfortable with our own company....
Harry, You are lucky folks, you'll love Mulege and Central Baja. Best way to get up to speed is to read this Amigos board, including lots of back pages covering lots of topics. Also, the Baja Forums other pages and topics. And David Kier's VivaBaja website, really useful. Don't forget to GoogleEarth the Mulege region, estuary, and town, from different angles --- great way to get a feel for the geography. Good luck and have fun. JBill

Hi Bill, Thanks for replying! We're really excited about this whole prospect. The other thing we inherited is a Harley Davidson motorcycle and sailboat that is down there. I've enrolled hubby in motorcyle lessons....It's just all too much...Happy tho!
¿What park is your RV located in, is it in town or on one of the beaches? You will just love Mulegé, a little hot in the summer but friendly and not to crowded.
If your Uncle Harry is the one I am thinking of, he was a good man. The park is great and just got new owners this year. Things are really coming along in our little park. The neighbour next to your Uncle's trailer also passed away this year, so I am not certain of who your neighbour would be. The park is very friendly and we all keep in touch throughout the year
My husband Bob and I just returned from Mulege on Saturday. As I mentioned before, my uncle Harry passed away recentl)y and left us his trailer at Hotel Cuesta Real. We can now see why he love going there so much! We flew into San Jose del Cabo because the airfare was half the price of flying into Loreto and had a real adventure on our hands! We underestimated how long the drive from cabo to mulege would be (by about 4 hours lol) and decided to stop in La Paz for one night. Good choice as that took 3 long treacherous hours in the mountains (not used to it!), we didn't want to drive after dark and we had a fabulous night in beautiful La Paz. Next morning, it took us 6 hours to reach Mulege arriving mid-afternoon. Pepe, the new owner was very helpful in getting us set up in the trailer (as we know virtually know nothing about them). Got all the hook-ups going and thank goodness the A/C worked as it was brutally hot (but no surprises there of course). Only bad thing that happened was the storage shed was broken into a couple of months ago and the fridge was stolen. Pepe installed a new lock....We spent four nights in Mulege and then started back south along the Pacific coast stopping overnight in Todos Santos and then onto San Jose del Cabo for a night at Hotel Casa Natalia. Gorgeous! High-end boutique hotel and we were the only guests there! LOVED the whole trip...best we've ever had. Enjoyed all aspects of it and the diversity of our travels. We probably will fly into Loreto next time tho when we go back which at this point will be sometime in December for a week. Unfortunately, Bob is not retired and we can't stay longer than two weeks at a time. July in BCS was certainly interesting...don't know if we'd do it again tho...certain aspects of going there off season has it advantages. If anyone on here is a regular guest of the Hotel Cuesta Real and would like to contact me, PLEASE email at crayon67@hotmail.com. Looking forward to meeting you and would appreciate any extra info you can provide.
