We plan on camping at Pt.Chivato in early November and needed a status report:

1. Can you still camp out at Pt. Chivato?
2. Is the hard packed dirt parking area right up to the beach still sanded in (we only have two-wheel drive) but like to get right on to the sand? In other words can we get out close to the beach like it was years ago?
3. How is the road to Pt. Chivato?

The camping beach was open last week although the palapas are all gone. In some spots you can get a two wheel drive vehicle right to your spot. As of last Sunday (10/15) there were about 6-7 campers with several spots open. However, this is the beginning of the on-season so expect campers to trickle in. The road to PC was bad in some spots due to the last storm but certainly passible for all vehicles.
